Please join the Florida Gourd Society in their SECOND Annual Gourd Retreat to be held at Deerhaven Retreat and Conference Center in Paisley, FL.  The retreat center is a peaceful and quiet place where we will have plenty of space to enjoy not only the joy we share in the crafting of gourds but the wonderful company of many friends who also enjoy this craft.

There will be two one day seminars on Wednesday and Thursday and then classes will be offered in each time slot beginning on Friday morning and going through lunch on Sunday.  You will need to register early to get your first choice of classes.  Each class will be from 3-4 hours and the prices will be listed on the class description.

For those staying at the retreat center, the price will be $46 per day which includes your room and meals for the day.

There will also be spaces available for RV’s at a cost of $10 per person per night.  Spaces are limited so please reserve early.

We have space (motel type rooms) for 40 people, so make your reservations early.  There will be two persons per room.  Rooms have twin beds and a bath.  You MUST supply your own linens and towels, as these will not be provided.  Please indicate whom you want as a roommate or one will be assigned to you.  Spouses are welcome, but remember the cost is based on a per person plan.

We are planning to have a raw gourd vendor there along with a vendor so you can purchase supplies you may need.

We will also be having additional classes in the evenings such as make and take its.  There will be classes on Thursday for those that are not in the seminar as well.

We will be once again playing GOURDO one evening.

We will be doing a Christmas Ornament exchange for anyone that wants to participate, please bring your hand made gourd Christmas Ornament wrapped.  Do not put your name on the package, but please do sign your ornament.

Additionally, remember this is our FALL Meeting time and the meeting will be held Saturday evening.
