Class Registration Change

We are going to handle it the same way as we have always done it, Sandy Jordan will be handling registration.   What does this mean to you? We are using the same registration program as in the past, but after you submit your class selections you will receive an email with the total amount due for all of your classes. You can renew your membership online (remember to get the class discount your dues for 2017 must be paid).  You can also purchase your dinner tickets online as well.  You will send one check to Sandy Jordan, made out to the “Florida Gourd Society” for the total of all classes.  Please note that you are not registered until Sandy receives your check. If you do not receive confirmation with 24 hours, first check your junk mail and if you do not have an email, then please contact Sandy at tfjordan@comcast.net.  Some email providers do not like the email from dragonworks and will think it is spam and not deliver it.

November 7, 2016      Registration opens for volunteers
November 11,2016     Registration opens for FGS Show Committee members and Instructors
November 15,2016     Registration opens to the public
January 31, 2017       Online registration ends
February 24, 2017     Walk-in registration begins

Volunteer Opportunities

The Florida Gourd Society needs volunteers. This long weekend has always depended on every one pitching in and getting things done. Many hands make this easy. We ask that you help us with a 4  1/2 hour shift. For people that volunteer for at least four 1/2 hours there is a perk! Early class registration.  In the class schedule you will find a volunteer session.  Simply select one of these sessions when you are available. It will be part of your registration.  If you want to help with setup and clean up then just make sure you put that in the comment section and you will be added to the list of volunteers for that activity.

Sandy is going to coordinate the volunteers for the show chairperson, Rusti Nichols and her committee. If you are interested in any of the volunteer opportunities, contact Sandy at tfjordan@comcast.net.  and she will provide you with the link.  The volunteer early registration will start on November 7-10.
