Wooly Wreath with Snowman
Instructors: Suzi Nonn and Sandy Jordan
Description: Come join Suzi and Sandy and create this beautiful wooly wreath with a pen and ink rouging snowman insert. Sandy will first take you step-by-step through the process to create these three snowmen using a technique called pen and ink rouging. While you wait for it to dry, Suzi will show you how to take your wooly skills and make a wreath. This class is for those who have made wooly trees, but now want something different or If you have never created with wools, then this is a good beginner class. You will create a 12” wreath from 100% felted wool. When finished you will have a beautiful wreath to hang on your door for the holiday or give to someone special

Sculptured Rims w/Pine Needles and Sweetgrass
Instructor: JoElla Manning
Description: Medium to large gourd of various shapes to choose from, sculptured cut and craft ready to rim with a variety of dyed pine needles and/or Sweetgrass. Waxed linen threads and multiple bead choices available for bead portals.

Sheridan Style Faux Tooled Leather Gourd
Instructor: Troy Tatum
Description: In this fun class, you will be guided step by step through the creation of the look of Sheridan style tooled leather on a gourd. You will transfer the design, woodburn the outline, stipple the background, color the outside and create the faux stitching at the top. We will focus on the slow burn shading technique to add the tonal values to the inside of the design.

Students Must Bring: an adjustable temperature wood burner with a skew, large ball or other shading pen and a small ball or a writing tip pens.

Carve and Shimmer
Instructor: Debbie Wilson
Description: On a cannon ball dyed gourd, you get to mix it up with a little stamp printing to add depth, a carved poppy pods and a little painting with shimmering inks. The background is also carved with varying sizes of a repetitive design.

Students Must Bring: A rotary carver with a very small ball or straight bit. Please have the correct collets or an adjustable chuck to accommodate the carving bits. I have 6 extra carvers, if you would like to try this project but do not have a carver, please email at artbasgo@gmail.com if you would like to reserve one.

Woven Bowl
Instructor: Jim Anspach
Description: A gourd base bowl with decoupage inside of your choice. you will learn to spoke and weave the bowl and put a rim on it.

Chubby Chickens
Instructor: Jane Essig
Description: We will paint gourds and apply quikwood combs, beaks, and eyes, plus tail-feathers to create whimsical chickens.

Metallic Textured Bowl with Quick Wood Rim
Instructor: Ellen Tatum
Description: This project is a fun project to make as well as being an eye catcher. The project makes everyone want to know "How did you do that?". Students will be using a product that comes from Canada that creates crackles and textures while combining metallic paints to create a one of a kind jazzy bowl. Students will also use Quick Wood to make a rim that gives you the look of a beaded rim.

Students Must Bring: hand held dremel or small rotary drill. All other supplies are furnished including a cleaned gourd.

Burning with torch geometric bowl.
Instructor: Ana Poma
Description: My Peruvian family has made gourd art for many years. I will show you how they would create this gourd bowl using simple tools. I will have these tools so you can try them, but you are welcome to use your woodburner and carver as well. You will learn how to burn your gourd to make it black and shiny. You will learn how to gouge out your pattern to make it look more 3-D and learn how to give it a shine and protection by using wax and a little heat to seal it.

Egg Gourd Kaleidoscopes and Mini Baskets

Description: You will decorate an egg gourd, then insert a kaleidoscope. You will also paint a mini egg basket.
